Digital" refers to the way in which TV channels are broadcast and received in your homes. TV channels in Singapore are now broadcast in both Analogue and Digital formats. Since December 2013, Mediacorp has been transmitting all free-to-air channels in Digital format under the DVB-T2 television standard. The existing Analogue TV channels will be switched off on 31 December 2018 and all Mediacorp TV channels will be broadcast in Digital only.

The DTV Starter Kit helps Singaporean HDB households without pay TV service make a smooth transition to Digital TV. Between April and June 2018, eligible households will receive a letter from IMDA to redeem either a set-top box & antenna package or $100 off DTV equipment of your choice.

Welcome to the ‘Melodious Jurong’ Combined Chinese Orchestra Concert, comprising of over 120 musicians from Taman Jurong CC Chinese Orchestra, Yuhua CC Chinese Orchestra and Jurong Green CC Chinese Orchestra. This is the 3rd consecutive year that the members from these 3 CC gathered together to play music. For those who have been with us I am sure you all remember our 1st combined concert at Yuhua CC in 2016 and our 2nd combined concert at Hong Kah Secondary school in 2017 and of course our 3rd combined concert tonight at Jurong Secondary School.

This year marks 35 years since Community Chest first set out to bring the community together, fundraise and care for those in need. Through the Charity TV Show, Community Chest wants to appreciate our founders, leaders and many who have guided us in the past years, connect with the community to celebrate the empowerment of the service users, and inspire the next generation to step up to contribute and collectively create a caring & inclusive society. 

The Community Chest Charity TV Show 2018 aims to celebrate the journey of those who have supported Community Chest and played a part in making a difference and empowering the lives of those in need. From the social service users who have shown us what it means to be empowered to give back; the corporate partners who have given tremendous support through donations, time and resources to demonstrate holistic giving; and the volunteers who have cared through their time, talents and hearts to enable Community Chest to empower social service users to live with dignity.
