Event: Let's Observe Ourselves Awards 2015
Venue: Qihua Primary School
I am honoured to be invited to host this award event. This award event aims to recognise the hard work and contribution of our outstanding cleaners in their efforts to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the restrooms across Singapore as well as organisations and schools whom have adopted the initiatives and achieved excellent results under the Happy Toilet Programme.
As the emcee, I led the minute of silence observance ceremony for 2.5 billion people globally without access to adequate sanitation and 750,000 children that passed away as a result of poor sanitation and lack of adequte hygiene and drinking water. In addition, 19 November is marked as World Toilet Day.
Congratulations to all our recipients and let's observe ourselves by playing our part to make our toilets a more pleasant experience for all.
