I had the honour to host my childhood friend's wedding. Both the groom and the bride are my good friends. Here are some photos to share...
JusClean Services 1st Anniversary Dinner & Dance 2012
Event: JusClean Services 1st Anniversary Dinner & Dance 2012
Date: July 2012
Venue: Carlton Hotel, Singapore
(Richard Style Emcee) JusClean Services held their first Dinner and Dance at Carlton Hotel tonight and it was a great success. The event was the first in the history of the company and also the first for the staff from various parts of Singapore to gather in one place - getting to know their fellow colleagues. At the same time, the management showed recognition for the dedication and hard work by the staff and gave away over 47 service awards.
Most of the staff were very well-dressed and arrived with great excitement. To allow the staff sufficient time to dress up, they were given few hours off from work to return home and get themselves ready. In addition, as there were staff performing on stage, these staff took additional efforts to practice and rehearse, so as to bring on a great show for everyone.
The audience was very spontaneous and gracefully stepped forward to take part in all the activities arranged for them. It was great to see everyone letting their hair down and enjoying the event with good food, fun and games. To my surprise, during the Best Dressed segment, we had 10 ladies whom were nominated by the audience! Everyone was cheering and clapping for their favourite Best Dressed!
The finale of the event ended with a Grand Lucky Draw and heartfelt words of thanks from the staff. Many of the staff have retired and grateful for the opportunities provided by the company to re-enter the work force and contribute in one way or another to the society.
Thank you JusClean! I look forward to being with you all again. :)

Group Activity
Evaluation by Richard
We were invited to organized a series of indoor and outdoor team-building activities at Bintan Lagoon Resort for a 2D1N Team-building cum retreat for all the staff. The focus was to strengthen the teamwork and team spirit through activities focusing on creativity, teamwork and communication.
The staff morale held up high and everyone was keen to participate in all the activities. Activities were designed to allow each team member to lead and also to cooperate. Unlike in a sports telematch, where teams win as a result of stronger physique finesse, these activities challenged a myriad set of diverse strengths and abilities of each team member. Teams whom did excellent in one activity did not necessary outperform in every other activity. Most importantly, at the end of the day, teams whom were faster in completing the tasks ended up taking the initiative to cheer and help the slower teams. That's the spirit of team-building!
With the fun, laughter and spirits held up high, the event rounded up with a sumptuous dinner celebration with great sharing of the day's activities.
Well done everyone! I am glad to have been part of your retreat. Thank you and see you all again!

Cowgirl on Rodeo Bull challenge??
Singapore Emcee Richard Style hosted the 20th Anniversary Celebration for JGC Singapore at the Jurong Bird Park. Family members were invited to be part of the celebration to encourage greater bonding and cohesion among staff and their families. The half day event featured a variety of fringe activities such as souvenir photography, caricature and face painting. Other fun segments included Rodeo Bull Challenge and Fearless Gladiator Competition, where everyone was encouraged to try their hands and beat the best record within the various categories. Takashimaya vouchers were given out to participating teams as well as winners of the various challenges.
The event commenced with the opening address by the general manager and to the audience's surprise, a parrot flew from the back of the room, over the heads of the audience and delivered the script into the hands of the general manager. Following the speech, the management together with all staff toasted with glasses of red wine to commemorate the 20th anniversary celebration and the milestones achievements of the company.
The event was a great success and a Facebook page was created to showcase the great laughters and smiles of the participants.

Event: Cargotec Annual Dinner & Dance 2012

The clock stuck six and the Emcee announced "It's Party Time! Free flow starts now..." Everyone rushed to the bar and started cheering and toasting, with DJ spinning great music and hyping up the mood for all.
Management staff kicked off the event on stage with a dance led by the emcee. The crowd joined in to give their support. After the dance, the country manager delivered the opening speech and presented long service awards with a staff receiving a 30 years long service award!
Throughout the evening, along with fun and games, and not forgetting fabulous lucky draw prizes, everyone had so much fun. We had a staff who sang Swedish opera. It was absolutely impressive!!
When the best dressed was called, staff rushed and crowded at the front of the stage, clamping and cheering for the nominees. The emcee announced the winners and hundreds of balloons rained down from the ceiling, topped off with confetti as the coup de grace!!
NCS Sales Kickoff FY2013
Event: NCS Sales Kickoff FY2013
Date: April 2012
Time: 12pm - 5pm
Venue: One Degree Fifteen Marina (Sentosa Cove, Singapore)
The Sales Kickoff FY13 is a forum for all NCS sales professionals (sales, pre-sales and delivery) to learn and share the organization's business goals as well as to recognize excellent sales performance. At the same time, through the interactions and engagements among the various business units and lines of businesses, staff exchanged ideas and knowledge.
The event started with the emcee energizing the crowd, getting them motivated and hyped up. Following which, the opening surprise was a laser show performed by magician Kiki Tay (http://www.kikitay.com/Kiki_Tay/Home.html). With this year's tagline "Go For Gold", the CEO and CFO were invited on stage to initiate the launch. The launch revealed a huge gold bar which symbolises the company's sales objective to be the champion (just like the gold medal in the Olympics) in the industry.
After the insightful speech by the CEO, various departments presented departmental objectives and goals through performances and skits. The fun and entertaining delivery drove clearly the departmental messages to all participants.
Tom Abott (http://www.sohosalescoaching.com/) was the guest speaker for this event and shared sales strategies to help sales professionals in their sales. Tom has regularly contributed articles to local newspapers and made guest appearance on local radio stations as well.
The finale was an award presentation to the Thought Leaders and Goldiators. The awards were given to recognize the contribution and excellent performance of these deserving individuals. The emcee rounded up the event cheers together with the audience.
(Thanks NCS for making me part of your Sales Kickoff FY 2013.)
