Molex 75th Anniversary Dinner and Dance

Event: Molex 75th Anniversary Dinner and Dance
Date: February 2014
Venue: Mandarin Orchard Singapore
No. of guests: 700
Theme: Retro

Miss those wavy hair curls, polka dot dress, bell bottom pants and Ray Ben sunglasses?

We are going back to the 70s and 80s! Remember those dance songs  that we all love from Bananarama, Boney M and Belinda Carlisle?

All the 700 staff tonight were invited to join in the 75th anniversary celebration and the hours and weeks of hard work and coordination efforts between the organising committee and the appointed events organiser Eureka Campaign Associates will pay off tonight. 5 groups of staff will be performing tonight in a bid to be crowned as Molex Singapore Idol.

Apart from the great performances by the contestants, we had Dan Thompson whom entertained the audience with his famous impersonation show. I invited everyone to start dancing as one big Molex family and also to come on stage for fun and games with the emcee.

The show was awesome and all the guests had so much fun! I am sure they will continue to share these moments and laugh about it heartily at their workplace.

Retro days are back again!

Sin Hin Hang Logistics Chinese New Year Dinner 2014

Event: Sin Hin Hang Logistics Chinese New Year Dinner 2014
Date: February 2014
Venue: Sin Hin Hang Logistics

I am very honoured to be invited to host this event for the third time in a row. I first hosted the event for them in 2012, and later 2013, and then today 2014. At this point, some readers might already be asking the question "how do you innovate new games and entertainment for the same audience?" Sounds challenging? You bet.

But you see, as an entertainer and emcee, creativity is cultivated in our blood. But the harsh fact of creativity is sometimes nothing comes out no matter how hard you try! Haha..

Tonight, not only was it a good show, it was complimented as even better than before! That is the greatest encouragement I could ever ask for. A big Thank you to all the staff for having me 3 years in a row. Looking forward to 2015!

Presents for all the staff

Once again, on behalf of my team at SHH, we would like to say a BIG THANK YOU for hosting our company’s Annual Dinner on 17/02/14.  You did a GREAT JOB & every one of us had a great evening and I’m sure the happy moments will linger in their mind for quite some time.

We look forward to seeing you again for our next annual function.

Wildlife Reserves Singapore Trade Partners' Appreciation Dinner 2014

Event: Wildlife Reserves Singapore Trade Partners' Appreciation Dinner 2014
Date: February 2014
Venue: Jurong Bird Park Singapore

As a kid, I was always filled with excitement when mum and dad brought us to the Jurong Bird Park, Singapore Zoo and Night Safari. I grew up having the opportunity to have breakfast with Orang Utan, watched Birds Performance and take the tram on a night tour at the Night Safari.

This evening I am honoured to be invited as the emcee for Wildlife Reserves Singapore (WRS), the company behind the 3 attractions and a recently opened River Safari.

It was a beautiful evening to be hosting the event at the Lake Ballroom, with flamingoes gracefully parading at the lake in front of the ballroom. I learnt that flamingoes are pink and red because of their crustacean diet! Did you also that the Waterfall Aviary was recently relaunched?

We played a table game where guests had to answer questions related to WRS. I also found out that a new mobile app was launched called SG Snakes!

It was so much fun to revisit my childhood. I had a great time hosting and I am going to check out the newest attraction - River Safari!

Chevrons Prosperity Night 2014

Event: Chevrons Prosperity Night 2014
Date: February 2014
Venue: Chevrons Jurong

This is my first show after arriving from the US. Feeling somewhat jet lag, but as a professional emcee, I will always give my best for every hosting engagement.

Over 500 guests attended this evening's celebration. Some came with their families, others with their colleagues and friends. I noticed among the audience, we had guests from as far as the US and also non-Chinese joining in this great celebration. Not forgetting the people whom need our help and support, they have invited friends from MINDS (Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore).

We had so much fun this evening and I was having a good time hosting this evening. Apart from games and lucky draw, we had a special appearance by well known Chinese Singaporean artiste Patricia Mok (莫小玲).

Posing for a photo before showtime

The evening was made great by the spontaneity and energy of the audience. It was very very impressive. Here's a few more photos for you..

The Chinese contortionists are a hit with audience

After the event, the organising committee chairperson came over and complimented on the evening as well as shared that everyone was full of praises for this evening. He said that the senior club members have seen so many shows but tonight it was the best. The VIP table gave good and positive feedback too.
