Pole Vault Wedding Celebrations @ Chijmes Hall

This is possibly the first in the world - An indoor pole vault wedding.

Singapore emcee Richard Style hosted the grand wedding celebrations for Singapore national pole vault athlete Rachel Yang and her husband David Yeo, who is a professional pole vault coach, at Chijmes Hall on Sunday, 3 June 2012. The highlight of the event was an indoor pole vault challenge, where the bride competed against 4 other national male athletes with various height positions. The bride's outfit worn for the challenge was a specially designed bridal gown, designed by Lydia Neo of Forme Exclusive Tailoring.

Wedding Celebrations in the Skies

I was honoured to be invited to host the wedding dinner celebration for Kenny and Betty. The entire celebration was held at 1-Altitude. The couple had their solemnization at the rooftop bar (probably the tallest point in Raffles Place or the Central Business District in Singapore). Here are some photos of the venue and decorations:

Rasel Wedding Workshop 2011

Private Event: Rasel Wedding Workshop
Date: 12 Jun 2011
Venue: The Board @ National Library Board

Style! Emcee

Was invited to host this annual private event and this year it was held at The Pod, a ballroom on the 16th level of the Main National Library. The ballroom layout resembles a glass dome (as seen in the photos) and the 360 degree view was impressively breathtaking.

The event was specially organized for couples tying the knot, helping them with the preparation for their big day. The 40 couples were invited to an international range of sumptuous cuisines and selection of fine crafted desserts, matched with breathtaking picturesque scenery.

During the quiz segment of the event where up to $500 vouchers were given out, I chatted with some couples and was amazed by their love stories. One couple dated for 16 years and another dated for less than 6 months. Both couples decided to tie the knot and I wish them all the best.

Wedding is a significant chapter in our life and you will definitely want every detail to be well taken care of, ensuring your guests a wonderful experience at the dinner and the event flows without a hitch. IF you are looking for a wedding emcee to ensure all details are well-covered, please contact me for a discussion.

Style! Emcee:

This is my first wedding event hosted in 2008! The entire wedding event was spectacular. Here are some highlights (and maybe also some suggestions for couples preparing for their wedding event)

1. The groom was on the stage and the bride came in and started to sing "Lovers' Concerto" immediately after the door was opened. (The effect was enough to bring the audience to tears)

2. The champagne toast and "Yum Seng" was done after the first march-in. This allow family members, relatives and friends to have a good dinner without interruption of the traditional toast

3. For the second march-in, the couple came into the ballroom on a Harley Davidson! The engine was roaring at full majesty and everyone was amazed. (If you have a long straight aisle, it's the best)

4. Surprise the guests by having dessert buffet outside the ballroom with a myriad of various desserts like cakes, pastries, sweets, macaroons and other delights

5. Get buddies or mutual friends (without the couple's knowledge) to go on stage and share how the couple got to know each other and dated. Best time also to let loose some jovial moments

6. Get a good emcee (get someone whom is comfortable with speaking to a crowd and spontaneous).

** If you have come across some good ideas to share, be it in your wedding or others that you have attended, drop me a comment. Thanks **
