Traveloka 10th Anniversary Celebration with Brand Ambassador Michelle Chong

Traveloka 10th Anniversary Celebration with Brand Ambassador Michelle Chong

With the talented, beautiful and gorgeous Michelle Chong!

One more supermodel post for the camera! 😊

Today marks two very special milestones for Traveloka; firstly, our 10th anniversary, and secondly, naming of the first ever brand ambassador for Traveloka Singapore!

Welcoming our esteemed industry and media partners

Traveloka first started as a metasearch engine in Indonesia in 2012, and entered Singapore in 2015. Today, it has transformed into Southeast Asia’s lifestyle superapp, with over 40 million monthly active users and over 60 million app downloads. Traveloka offers innovative products and services such as flights, hotels, and attractions to help consumers fulfill their lifestyle aspirations. It is inspiring what 10 years can mean for a company, and even more so, in the landscape of tourism.

Tourist Guide Industry Forum 2022

Tourist Guide Industry Forum 2022
(Virtual Webinar)

Mr Keith Tan, Chief Executive, Singapore Tourism Board (STB), said: “While it will take time for tourism numbers to return to pre-pandemic levels, we are encouraged by the resilience of our tourism businesses, and their commitment to preserve good jobs, transform their businesses, and invest in new products and experiences. These efforts will strengthen Singapore’s appeal as we prepare to welcome more international visitors.

We must anticipate setbacks and challenges even as the tourism industry recovers slowly. But I am confident that the tourism industry has learnt from its experiences, and is poised to recapture demand when it returns. STB will continue to ramp up efforts in our key source markets and deepen engagements with our tourism partners to capture growth and inspire travel to Singapore.”

We arrived at Nadi International Airport after a long flight (SIN-BNE-NAN)

Beautiful Sheraton Fiji on Denarau Island

The main lobby hall

Next morning at Port Denarau, eagerly waiting for our catamaran transfer to the island (we were advised to spend more time on the islands instead of mainland Viti Levi)

If you are planning your travel to the islands, have a look at this. Some of the islands are as far as 5 hours away! Catamaran transfer has specific routes, so if you are doing island hopping, make sure you check before booking the resorts.

Welcome home!! - The newly opened Sheraton Tokoriki (Cyclone Winston tore through the old one)

Photo proof! - The sea is as clear as the swimming pool!

Dining by the beach

Clear shallow waters!

Amazing view!

Receiving the newly arrived guests

Our accommodation - Clean, Comfy and Cool!

The sunset is as picturesque as it gets.

Must visit - Cloud 9 (bar on a floating pontoon)

My Holiday Travel: Club Med Kani Maldives

Date: 9 August 2014
Duration: 5 Days 4 Nights
Venue: Club Med Kani Maldives
Flight: Singapore Airlines SQ452 (Singapore - Male)

We took SQ452 from Singapore and departed at 8.45pm. The flight took about 4 hours and Male is 3 hours ahead of Singapore. Can you imagine when we got to the resort it was 2.30am in the morning!!??!! We were so tired and everywhere was dark, so we decided to turn in and get ourselves recharged.

Next morning, with dreamy eyes, I pulled open the curtains and exclaimed "Oh my  goodness! It's beautiful! I am in paradise!"

Welcome!

Start of our adventure

The jetty that I alighted from the airport transfer in the wee hours of the morning. Also the same jetty to board the boat when we went snorkelling!

The luxurious water villas from a distance. They are very exclusive and great for honeymooners.

Baby sharks swimming near our restaurant. The water is crystal clear!

Spotted a Heron and invited to have lunch  with us.

Getting ready for snorkelling! Still looking fair on the first day. Now I'm tanned as chocolate. Maybe dark chocolate?

Club Med Kani was totally awesome! Food, drinks, fun and entertainment. Everything is free flow and non stop! Now I'm recharged and ready to go home!

Happy National Day Singapore!
