Societe Generale Year End Staff Celebration 2013

Event: Societe Generale Year End Staff Celebration 2013
Date: December 2013
Venue: Rock Urban Grill Bar, Marina Bay Financial Centre

As a way to round up 2013, the organisers put together a Christmas celebration for about 200 staff this evening at this great venue. Food was awesome coupled with free flow of beverages. Every guest was presented a gastronomic line up of sumptuous tapas, mains and sweets. As it was an after work event, the guests eagerly made their way to the venue right after knocking off work.

We played 1-2 games right after the CEO opening speech as quick energizers and icebreakers to get all the guests comfortable. More games continued and we had so much fun with spontaneous participation from local and foreign guests.

As it was a after work get together celebration, the event was kept short and informal. Some got lucky and won prizes, some had good food and drinks, and overall everyone left happily with big bright smiles.

Merry Christmas!!

Jet Aviation (Asia Pacific) Annual Dinner and Dance 2013

Event: Jet Aviation (Asia Pacific) Annual Dinner and Dance 2013
Date: December 2013
Venue: Mandarin Orchard, Singapore

Riiiiinnnnngggg! Riiiiinnnnngggg!

"Quick! Don't be late. The school bell has rung and it's the first day of school!"

"Class, My name is Richard Style and I am your new class teacher. We are going to have a great time this evening learning, playing and winning together. Are you ready?"

It was so much fun this evening as the staff of Jet Aviation (Asia Pacific), comprising of locals and foreigners, came dressed in school uniforms from all different countries. It was awesome!

To spice up the mood for the evening, we had a Lady Gaga impersonation show by Jeffrey Chung Models which saw two great male dancers among the audience. The audience was cheering and clapping as the male audience imitated Lady Gaga's dance moves. They took to the stage as the music pumped on and started gyrating as if it was their own show!

We had some fun and games for the evening and saw great participation and response from every table. When it was time for the Best Dressed contest, it was really difficult selecting the participants as there were so many to choose from. Finally, with the audience nomination, we had 5 gentlemen and 5 ladies whom impressed everyone with their outfits.

The finale of the evening was a company photo taking as given some of their colleagues were on shift duties, they could only join us halfway. The energy was fantastic and everyone stayed behind for more group photos even after the event has ended.

To the wonderful Jet Aviation family, thanks for having me as your show-host in 2013!

I Know My Employment Rights Roadshow (organised by MOM & CPF)

Event: I Know My Employment Rights Roadshow
Date: November 2013
Venue: Woodlands Civic Centre

The Workfare and Workright initiatives, organized by Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and Central Provident Fund Board (CPF), and supported by several other bodies, aim to inform and increase public awareness of employment rights as an employee. And at the same time, the government is helping low income families through the Workfare Income Supplementary (WIS) Scheme, where additional financial assistance are given through cash and retirements benefits. In addition, various companies were present at the roadshow to highlight job opportunities available.

The response was awesome as people kept streaming in and finding out more about these great initiatives. As the emcee for the event, I was busy interacting and engaging the audience. There was a skit specially put together to spread the message and the key points about the initiatives. The crowd's response was awesome and amazing!

NSL Annual Dinner and Dance 2013

Event: NSL Annual Dinner and Dance 2013
Date: November 2013
Venue: Carlton Hotel, Singapore

Hats or Masks? How about both?

It's Madhatters and Masquerade night for the staff at NSL! So who's coming with quirky hats? Or mystical eye mask?

Tonight, 150 staff from NSL celebrated their annual dinner and dance with Singapore emcee Richard Style. The games were uniquely created with hats as props to suit the theme.

The Best Dressed was specially tailored for groups and teams, not individuals! It was awesome to see the team spirit displayed as various groups came in coordinated and uniform colours. Totally impressive!

What's a Dinner and Dance without mass dancing and partying? Yes, everyone got on their feet and started boogie-ing away with the emcee. Great crowd, great fun, great times!

To all the staff at NSL, Have a great 2014!!

Mott MacDonald Dinner and Dance 2013

Event: Mott MacDonald Dinner and Dance 2013
Date: November 2013
Venue: Grand Park City Hall Hotel, Singapore
Theme: Masquerade

It's time to whip out that special favourite mask that you have been keeping for a long time!

Over 350 staff and guests participated in this event tonight and it was awesome to see guests coming in various genres of outfits, including ethnic costumes where one turned up in a Scottish kilt and another in an Indian sari dress.

Despite the audience was made up of staff and guests, everyone participated and joined in the fun and games segment. There was no time to be shy or formal, as Emcee Richard broke the ice for everyone by having them participate in a icebreaker table game. During the dinner, 4 staff performed and entertained the audience. Their performance were really good and one of them gave an impersonation of Michael Jackson!

Magician Jeremy Tan performed a mentalist show tonight and got the audience giving him a standing ovation at the end of his show. To top it all, Emcee Richard gave the 350 audience a laughing good time through the dinner and made them all join in a mass dance. It was awesome to feel the energy coming from the crowd!

Finally, the finale of the evening was the celebration champagne toast by senior management and we taught the non-Singaporeans how to do the "yum seng" toast cheer. It was a great successful and many guests and staff came forward to congratulate on the success of the show.

Fuji Xerox Asia Pacific Dinner and Dance 2013

Event: Fuji Xerox Asia Pacific Dinner and Dance 2013
Date: November 2013
Venue: Mandarin Oriental, Singapore
Theme: Our Childhood Dreams

Tonight's theme is very special unlike "Back to School" or "Superheroes". It is about childhood dreams and ambitions. There were policemen, pilots, detective Sherlock Holmes, Snow White, Fairies, Nurses, Sailors, Cabin Attendants and many many more. There were also Super Mario, Flintstones and Mickey Mouse too!

Honda-san, President, Asia Pacific Operations, showed up in a pilot's outfit and his opening speech was well crafted as if a pilot was making announcement in the cabin. Everyone started laughing and he really got the energy flowing!

There was an in-house band, comprising of both local and overseas staff. The band came with their own equipment and delivered an impressive performance. Apart from the staff performance, we had the mentalist and magician Jeremy Tan and comedy juggling duo Kit and Kai.

Because of the amazing great turnout in costumes and outfits, the Best Dressed contestants were simply overwhelming. I did a comedy talk show interviewing all the contestants and kept everyone laughing for half hour non-stop!

The finale of the event was a mass dance, led by the staff and myself. We got everyone standing up, danced in synchronised steps and started forming a train that went round the ballroom. IT was AWESOME!

It's time to put on those flashy bell bottoms and shimmering sequin shirts and get ready for party! OR, is it time to don leather jacket, boots, tight jeans, and a pair of cool Ray-Ben shades? Well, as long as you like it, we love it!

Awesome start to the event with a energetic and uplifting speech by the Managing Director, Ms Natasha Kwan! Very personable approach of going amongst the tables to encourage everyone to take part and enjoy themselves this evening.

We kicked off a round of energizer ice-breaking and got everyone into the mood, cheering and clapping for their colleagues. The audience energy was even pushed higher when Donna Daniel (http://www.donnadaniels.com/), an excellent singer and performer, took to the stage. Belting out rock songs and getting everyone up on their feet dancing away!
