What do you get with rainbows? Yes, that's right. Colours, a plethora of colours. And presenting to you tonight, A Night of Colours with Lantrovision where about 500 staff and guests gathered together for a night of fun, colours, photos and lots of laughter!

As the emcee for the evening, I started off with a short icebreaker with all the audience. Everyone was having so much fun trying to figure out the quiz. "Quick!! There's a huge table prize to be won for everyone on your table if you get the answers correct!" Everyone got excited and got to work quickly to solve the puzzle and came up to me with the answers.

Apart from fun and games, we had some great performances from the staff. These guys were good! They got the crowd cheering and clapping for them as they gave their best on the stage. Comedy Dim Sum show and Dessert Rose Bellydance got everyone laughing even louder!
Well done guys and congratulations to all the winners!

Have you heard the song before... Make in India, Make in India??

Yes, my friend, that's right. The theme this evening was Bollywood. Flowers, colours, music, mass dancing and having lots of fun with over 500 staff. The evening started and everyone was streaming into the ballroom, dressed in all sort of colors and motifs. I thought to myself, "Oh, this is awesome!"

After dinner, we did some fun and games on stage. How can one not have some Bollywood dancing around coconut trees, with changing light bulbs and mopping the table hand actions to go along? The staff were spontaneous and participated in the game, bringing great photo moments as well as laughter to the audience. We had Bellydance performance and comedy Dim Sum show (by Lay Cheng) to add to the laughter!

Happy New Year my friends!

The theme tonight was "The Good Old Days", where one reminisce the good old days where we grew up - black and white television, kari-pok hairstyle, vinyl records, trishaw, childhood games, and many many more.

And tonight, we are here to relive the good old days of the past and also to welcome the new year with excitement and enthusiasm! Guests came dressed in shimmering outfits, puffed up hairdo, boots and all, ready to party and usher in the new year.

We started off the evening with classic hawker fare - laksa, kueh pie ti, kuih-muih, roti prata and my favourite kacang putih. There was also a trishaw in place for the instant photo taking. Awesome set up to start off the evening.

The show started with a A-go-go opening dance followed by a short ice-breaker game. We moved into dinner and everyone was enjoying the food and drinks prepared by Yan Palace. We had some good fun games and started off with a short disco session. Professional entertainer Suzie Wong delivered a rendition of old songs which was very well received.

Half hour before the clock struck twelve, we got everyone dancing away on the dance floor in preparation to welcome the new year.At the final minute, we invited the president, convenors, and social sub committee on stage to lead the countdown.

Total Oil Asia Pacific Annual Dinner and Dance 2013

Event: Total Oil Asia Pacific Annual Dinner and Dance 2013
Date: December 2013
Venue: O'Learys Sportsbar & Grill @Singapore Flyer, Singapore

Tonight's dinner for Total has a very special meaning as the organising committee decided to incorporate corporate social responsibility (CSR) elements into the program. As part of the fundraising efforts by Total, the staff has raised a total of $3,000 which will be matched by the company dollar for dollar to a total of $6,000! The beneficiary, Club Rainbow, was invited, along with 6 families to be part of this annual celebration. I am very honoured to be hosting this event for Total. Everyone was treated to a great opening percussion performance by a team of hearing impaired performers.

Hearing-impaired performers giving their best percussion performance. Awesome!

To kick off the fun and games on stage, the committee decided to do the Best Dressed along with participants from Club Rainbow and Total staff. Everyone had to do a short performance and we were fortunate to have a Zumba performance by two staff whom were Zumba enthusiast. One of the Club Rainbow participant did a catwalk and received thunderous applause and support from the audience! After that, we had more fun and games and I had a good time interacting and sharing humour with each and every staff. We danced, we sang, we laughed. It was all in good spirit and everyone enjoyed it!

The outgoing recreation committee (RC 2013) presented a slide show of the full year's events as a round up and appreciation of the committee's efforts. They invited and handed over the baton to the incoming recreation committee (RC 2014).

We did a finale toast and wished everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
