Marsiling - Yew Tee GRC commemorates Singapore Bicentennial

Event: Marsiling - Yew Tee GRC commemorates Singapore Bicentennial

The Singapore Bicentennial commemorates
the 200 years of Singapore’s history since Sir Stamford Raffles arrived in Singapore in 1819. People from different regions had travelled and come into Singapore.

Thank you for making our maiden play a great success!

Marsiling-Yew Tee residents
you are awesome!

Communities and settlements were established. There were many stories on how our forefathers had worked hard in building Singapore to where we are today. There were also records and stories of Singapore dated way before 1819. The Singapore Bicentennial marks a milestone and is an opportunity for us to better understand and reflect on Singapore’s
history.

Today we are all gathered here to witness the GRC’s MY Bicentennial Project in commemoration of our Singapore Bicentennial which will be through a community play - “MY Bridge of Light”.
