Tonight's National Day Dinner we also launched a Changi Simei Commemorative Book - A Kampung's Journey.
Changi Simei Commemorative Book Introduction
“A Kampong Journey | The Changi Simei Story” aims to showcase the diversity of cultures and richness in the history of Changi Simei through food and heritage.
Changi developed from attap huts to high rise apartments, its kampong spirit carried through from World War 2 till today. Not only does the book bring us through the heritage of Changi, it also features a total of 38 recipes contributed by residents of Changi Simei.
This book is made possible by many contributors who shared their stories and understanding of Changi’s history, as well as a dedicated team of volunteers.
