I have just finished a discussion with my colleagues in the office.
I came back to my seat, sat down and started experiencing sudden giddiness and nauseous. I thought I was ill or low blood pressure.
I closed my eyes to rest.
I opened my eyes a few seconds later and still felt giddy. I looked at the water in my bottle and saw rippling effect.
I couldn't believe my eyes.
Immediately called out to all my colleagues and everyone around me. "We have to evacuate now!"
Interestingly, the sways and shakes stopped after 2 minutes.
I turned on the news. I received a call from Singapore. "Richard, is everything okay in Beijing?"
I was stunned.
In my entire life, this is the first time I had experienced an Earthquake.
Over the next few days, I kept close with the news. I was swelled up with sadness and pain for many whom lost their lives. Life will never be the same again for the survivors. I am praying for miracles and for the people who are continuously through day and night, searching for survivors.
Inside me, I realized that life is fragile and delicate. Make each day count.
Carpe Diem - Seize the day!
